Autocomplete on git: checkout

Autocomplete Everywhere

Using Sublime Text's quick launch bar makes it easy to find that branch you are looking for. And of course, writing commit messages in Sublime Text means you have access to all your regular text editing and autocomplete features.

Inline Help

Git includes a lot of helpful documentation in the default installation. SublimeGit makes it easy to search through and access it. In addition, SublimeGit includes contextual help messages with shortcuts and other helpful information.

Syntax highlighting using the default theme

Beautiful Syntax Highlighting

SublimeGit includes syntax definitions for commit messages, diffs, and git status. They are designed to be consistent, and look good with the default Sublime Text themes. Don't like the colors? Don't worry, they're easy to change.

Installation

You can try out SublimeGit for as long as you'd like, and there are no feature restrictions.

Using Sublime Package Control

If you already have package control, just follow these steps:

  1. Open the Sublime Text command palette
  2. Select Package Control: Install Package
  3. Select SublimeGit
  4. Restart Sublime Text

The Old-fashioned Way

If you are not already using Package Control, you should give it a try. It makes it a breeze to install and stay up to date with Sublime Text packages. Go to the Package Control website, or jump directly to the installation instructions.

To install SublimeGit manually:

  1. Download the SublimeGit zip
  2. Extract the SublimeGit zip to
    ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text X/Packages
Note: If this folder is hidden, you can browse to it by selecting Preferences > Browse Packages from within Sublime Text.
  3. Restart Sublime Text
  1. Download the SublimeGit zip.
  2. Unzip the SublimeGit zip to
    %APPDATA%\Sublime Text X\Packages
Note: If this folder is hidden, you can browse to it by selecting Preferences > Browse Packages from within Sublime Text.
  3. Restart Sublime Text

If you're running linux you probably know what you're doing. Download the SublimeGit zip, and extract it inside your Sublime Text Packages directory (usually ~/.config/sublime-text-X/Packages).
